Hello ROCS families,

As you may know, North Carolina is currently experiencing a spike in COVID cases, which has led to quarantine or isolation for many people. Within our school community, a number of students, staff, and families have been impacted. As a proactive response, we have decided to close the school building for two asynchronous, remote learning days next Thursday and Friday, January 27th and 28th. This pause will help us plan for any potential future closures due to staffing shortages.

Each student will receive one simple assignment to complete on their own over the course of those two days. No computer will be necessary, and students can simply bring the assignment with them when they return to the school building on the following Monday, January 31st.

We know this change may pose a hardship for some families. We hope that announcing it as soon as possible will help you plan for childcare and your family’s unique needs. However possible, we also hope these days are fun and restful.
