Happy last week of school!  Before you enter summer mode, please check out the following updates and reminders!

  1. Parent Circle Elections: PC needs to hold an election for several offices.  The official ballot is now open.  Please cast your vote here.  We still need several key leadership positions for next year, including a Co-Chair, Fundraising Lead, Hearts and Heads Committee Leads.  Please reach out to rocsparentcircle@gmail.com if you are willing to serve in one of these roles!
  2. Family Night Out at Sneaky Penguin Brewing: Parent Circle is hosting one final event on Tuesday, June 6th at Sneaky Penguin from 4:00pm to 9:00pm.  We’ll get 10% of all purchases made if you mention Raleigh Oak Charter School.  Come have a drink to celebrate a great year!  This location is family and dog friendly and is just up the road from ROCS at 7449 Six Forks Road (Celebration at Six Forks Shopping Center).  Current and future families and staff are all invited!
  3. Volunteers Needed: ROCS is moving this summer and we need ALL hands on deck to get us into our bigger and better space at Sumner Boulevard.  We have organized two Volunteer Work Weekends for June 17-18 at Forum Drive and June 24-25 at Sumner Boulevard.  Please look over the volunteer needs here and sign up where your family can help!  This is an awesome way to get to know other ROCS families and build pride and a sense of ownership in our school!
  4. Need a Ride?: Anyone exploring transportation options for next year is welcome to use this Ride Share Interest Form to help connect with other families looking to carpool.  This form is voluntary, but ride sharing cuts down on the carpool line and makes our planet happier!

Thank you all for a memorable, magical year.  This has been Parent Circle’s most successful year yet – in terms of volunteer involvement, support provided to staff and students, and financial stability.  We couldn’t have done any of it without YOU.  You are all ROCStars and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together next year.

Warmly,

Sarah Leehr, Parent Circle Chair
